About Superior Guide Service LLC.
Superior Guide Service LLC, is located in Craig Colorado and owned and operated by Scott Brennise. Scott's ranch has been in his family for 3 generations. The ranch is over 13,000 acres and Scott has been hunting it all his life.
We specialize in elk and deer hunts from our two lodges located here in northwest Colorado. We offer exclusive bookings for groups of 6-8 clients at one time. Hunting is done mainly in unit 12.
We are a family owned and operated business, that strives to offer a unique and enjoyable outdoor experience. We offer experienced guides, first-rate meals and accommodations, along with an unforgettable hunting experience.
Elk Hunts at Superior Guide Service LLC
Our archery and rifle elk hunts are all done on private ground owned by our family, and private property we have access to through leases. We offer full accommodation hunts based from our two lodges. Both lodges offer a full range of modern conveniences.
We hunt one of North America’s largest Elk herds. Guests can expect to see between 100 and 300 animals daily. Our hunts take place at an elevation of between 7000 and 8500ft and are conducted by horseback and sometimes vehicles depending on terrain and weather.
We have a success rate of about 85%. Guests will see many 5x5 elk and some bigger. The hunts are fully guided and equipped. Our hunters need only bring their hunting equipment and favorite rifle.
Licensing for the 1st and 4th rifle seasons are draw only, 2nd and third rifle seasons can be purchased over the counter. A valid hunter’s safety card is mandatory plus a photo ID.

Mule Deer Hunts
With our Mule Deer hunts, nearly every aspect of the hunt is the same as our Elk trips. Spot and stalk conducted on horseback and sometimes vehicles. Success rates on deer are about 80-85% for 150 class deer & up. We killed some nice 170-190 bucks in years past and expect the same in '08! Call Scott for more information on this hunt!
Summer Vacations
Summer vacations at the Breeze Basin Ranch are a great way to get away and enjoy all that the Colorado outdoors has to offer. Our vacations are for 1 family (4-6 people) at a time and offer horseback tours, wildlife viewing and fishing.
Our Vacations run from June August and are customizable by guests around their interests. These 4 day vacations are enjoyable for the whole family (ages 4 and up). With our gentle horses, even children can enjoy riding lessons. There are many activities available.

*Black Bear hunts are paid upon success, just purchase a tag over the counter with the purchase of another hunt and pay ONLY if you are successful! These are great fun hunts to add to your hunt package.
